New York City – After The Rain

I remember well.

Living in New York was hectic to say the least, but it did have many advantages.
Like being able to get a great meal any time day or night 24/7.
Or, being able to buy the New York Times, Sunday Edition on Saturday after 7PM at any store.
(I know, who reads the hard copy of the Times. You can get the digital version).

There were days I can remember after it rained and the smell in the air was “clean”.
The streets were cleansed. The tar was rich black.
The smell was “fresh”.

At night, you could hear the auto tires coming down the street – sounds of a wet street are still vivid in my memory now.
